2025 Wrap Up
Writing/Internship
I had a short story and two poems published in The Wonder Tales Vol 1&2 from Twenty Hills Publishing! I also had a good experience working as a year-long intern for the same publisher. I learned so much working with them on marketing, editing, and beta reading. Now that it’s over I will have more free time in 2026 to write stories!
2025 Reading
Many of the books I read this year will stick with me forever, some were just okay, and only two were flops. Mystery was my biggest category this year, thanks in part to the short Cherringham audio mysteries I discovered. I can’t talk about every book here but I wanted to share some highlights. I read using a mix of audio, ebook, and physical copies.
Classics… each one listed here would be excellent if you want to read more classics in 2026 but don’t want anything too long or hard to get into

The Kallatian Saga by Andrew D Meredith… excellent if you want “swords and censers” epic fantasy!
Ice and Fate duology by HL Burke…fantasy romantic adventure
Harry Potter by JK Rowling UK editions… I’ve read the Scholastic versions before, but after I started the first two UK editions at the end of 2024 I had to finish. I loved slowing down and appreciating the images, the excellent foreshadowing, and the poignant Christian themes. The Stephen Fry audio editions are now available on Audible!
Non fiction
Crisis of Confidence by Carl Truman… love this author, importance of the historical Christian creeds
Death by Living by ND Wilson… every Christian should read this!
Attributes of God vol 1&2 AW Tozer …an easy to understand classic
The Unseen Realm by Michael Hieser… the ancient supernatural context of Scripture, the Divine Counsel theory, Nephilim etc.
Jesus Doesn’t Care About Your Messy House He Cares About Your Heart by Dana K White… beautiful and theologically sound by a declutter expert who has helped me greatly
Know and Tell by Karen Glass… the art of narration, how to implement this foundational and ancient practice in education for all ages, (taught by Charlotte Mason)
When Culture Hates You by Natasha Crain… a must read for apologetics- encouraging and challenging

What a great group of books! I read The Jungle Book for the first time a few years ago. So fun!
